Dunedin pedestrian hit by van

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after he was hit by van in the main street of Milton, south of Dunedin.

The man, aged in his 20s, was unconcious when emergency services arrived at the scene in Union St about 9.45pm, yesterday, a Fire Service spokesman said.

He was rushed to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition, a St John ambulance spokesman said.
