I haven't seen much good in Christchurch since the February quake. I see a lot of bad. Major graffiti and houses with all the windows broken by vandals. There's a lot of arson incidents and more violence than ever. We have a police force and council that care little for crime in anyway.

We have insurance companies clamping down so hard that when our car was stolen I wasn't allowed to claim for my sunglasses due to not having kept the receipt from fifteen years ago. They were a ten dollar pair of glasses that wrapped around my normal glasses.

Two years down the track we are still battling EQC to get a proper assessment of our house while we watched the neighbours house being completely rebuilt.

We have sand all through our plumbing and no one wants to accept responsibility for it.

If we could afford it, we would leave Christchurch, and that is saying a lot for me as this is my home town and I have a huge problem with moving.
