Roger Sutton, one of the best-known faces among Christchurch's post-earthquake leaders, will soon mark his first year as chief executive of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority.
The former head of lines company Orion took over the reins of the authority on June 13, the day the physically and emotionally devastating double-whammy quakes hit Christchurch.
Nearly one year on, more than 350 readers polled by The Press in its Local Issues Survey still rate Sutton as one of the city's best-performing leaders.
Four out of five (81 per cent) said he was doing a good job - the highest rating for any local or central government figure.
Sutton joined The Press at its new central-city building to talk about his year and answer emailed questions from readers of press.co.nz.
