The Royal Commission into buildings in the city is going on as we speak - looking into the actions of those who were charged with the safety of people using city buildings.

Some businesses are already pushing for resource consents to rebuild within the central city.

The information released during the Royal Commission has prompted some to question how thorough inspections were and whether the experts could be trusted to keep residents safe.
