Sneak NCEA peek for St Bede's College
St Bede's College pupils got a sneak peek at NCEA results during website testing today.
The New Zealand Qualification Authority's website ran system testing between 6.25am and 6.30am to ensure pupils would be able to access results when they are released this week.
The testing meant the 265 pupils logged into the site during the five-minute period were able to see their results.
A NZQA spokeswoman said it was ''coincidental'' that the pupils were logged in as no announcement had been made about the testing.
Pupils have taken to social media websites to voice concerns that the results they saw might not be accurate.
The spokeswoman said that while results were not confirmed, they were correct.
''Students should wait until NZQA announces that final results have been released. However, we can provide reassurance that grades for standards as seen by these students are correct and will not change," she said.
St Bede's pupils achieved outstanding results in 2011, despite sharing their damaged Papanui site with Marian College, whose site was wrecked in the February 2011 earthquake.
The school's official Twitter feed, @StBedesNZ, tweeted this morning: ''Nzqa results look as though they are available. Currently looking through who got what.''
National Certificate of Educational Achievement results will be released this week and pupils will be notified via Twitter feed @NCEAexams.
