More than 33,000 Christchurch East voters have been mailed their voting packs that simplify how they have their say at the November 30 by-election.

Each EasyVote pack, sent out yesterday, contains the voter's personalised EasyVote card, the list of candidates, the location and opening hours of voting places, and advance voting details.

Chief Electoral Officer Robert Peden said voters should take their EasyVote card with them when they vote. People can still vote without their EasyVote card, but it may take longer, he said.

"If you don't receive an EasyVote pack, you may not be enrolled. You can find out if you are on the roll at , by phoning 0800 36 76 56 or by checking the printed roll at a PostShop. The last day for enrolments is November 29."
