Expect traffic delays from Sumner and in the city, but enjoy the sunshine in Christchurch today.

WEATHER

Christchurch may actually see some decent sun today as last night's rain clears.

MetService is forecasting a high of 16 degrees Celsius with light south easterly winds. Rain is not forecast again until Monday.

TRAFFIC

The road closures for works in the Sumner area continue today. Commuters travelling to the city from Sumner will be using one lane. You may need to leave early or car pool to reduce congestion.

Expect delays on Colombo St this morning, and remember Madras, Durham and Barbadoes streets are down to one lane in places across the central city.

Try Fitzgerald Ave for faster access when crossing the city.

Bealey Ave has roadworks near Madras St and is reduced to two lanes, which may cause delays.
