Swannanoa Speedway driver Aaron Rowlands produced a stunning drive on Saturday night.

Rowlands was one of 46 cars from around the country racing for the New Zealand super stock Grand Prix at AmPro Tools Woodford Glen Speedway. He was the only  North Canterbury entrant and cruised through qualifying on Friday to earn his place in the top 26 cars for Saturday's finals.

Rowlands impressed in each of the  three finals heats to finish seventh overall. It was an outstanding result given the impressive field.

''I'm stoked to finish seventh in a national event, especially with so many great drivers competing here,'' he said.
