Christchurch's caped crusader Flat Man, and his side kick, QuakeKid have a dream.

The generous pair want to meet Ellen DeGeneres and they need your help to do it, but there's  a problem.

''We want to meet the most generous Ellen but Flat Man can't say her surname,'' Quake Kid sighs.

Canterbury University student Flat Man, who won't reveal his identity and whose motto is ''Be a bruv, share the luv'', has spent thousands of dollars out of his own pocket putting together and delivering care-packages to quake-affected Christchurch students and families.

When he's not busy at his part-time job, and between lectures, he has also been visiting Christchurch primary school students and inspiring them to help others.

Last Friday he met up with Mayor Bob Parker - wife Jo Nicholls-Parker took this photo - and Bob said he planned to give the pair "an award for being quake heroes''.

Now it's your chance to help Flat Man and QuakeKid.

On Saturday the super pair hope to capture the attention of United-States based talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres.

''We need your help to get the easy, breezy, beautiful, funny, talented and amazing Ellen to take notice of us and raise awareness of the ongoing struggle in Christchurch years after the original earthquake,'' Flat Man says.

On Saturday the pair are asking Kiwis to "bombard'' the popular host online with the pair's motto.

"On Twitter go to https://twitter.com/TheEllenShow and tweet @TheEllenShow #BEABRUVSHARETHELUV or leave the same message on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/ellentv,'' Flat Man says.

The whole idea of getting onto the Ellen show isn't personal.

"It's not about us, it's to grab the world's attention and focus on those who are truly struggling in post-quake Christchurch,'' Flat Man says.

"The whole reason I wear the suit is because Flat Man could be any one of us. He could be your brother, your neighbour or even your local Mayor. It's not about one person it's about a whole city helping out each other and having fun with it.''
