Keas show good form to take down NZDF and Newlands

Canterbury champions Richmond Keas picked up two wins in the national women's interclub softball tournament in Lower Hutt yesterday.
Richmond easily beat the New Zealand Defence Force 7-0 and followed that with a 6-3 win over Wellington club Newlands.
Defending champions Te Aroha (Hutt Valley) and Miramar also continued their winning momentum, with Miramar edging out Hutt Valley Saints 11-7.
But Waitakere Bears coach Israel Nukunuku, who has made no secret of his title intentions, was left furious after his side's error-ridden 13-7 win over Auckland rivals Ramblers.
"We made three basic, fundamental errors. We can't do that in the big games," he said.
Te Aroha, led by White Sox pitcher Sheree Cartwright, gave an excellent performance in their 4-0 win over Hutt City United in the late game. Earlier, Te Aroha beat Johnsonville 6-0.
