The three top teams in the Press Cup continue to charge towards the playoffs while the fourth spot in section one is still up for grabs after St Andrew's College were beaten 36-5 by Nelson College on Saturday.
Nelson College recorded their fourth win in section one while leaders Christchurch Boys' High and their nearest rivals, St Bede's College both won too.
St Bede's thumped Christ's College 62-10 on Thursday while CBHS easily beat Timaru Boys' High 66-3.
With one round to play CBHS, St Bede's and Nelson are all guaranteed top four spots while Roncalli College's 23-18 win over Marlborough Boys' College in Timaru moves them into fourth, narrowly ahead of STAC.
In STAC's favour is the fact they have a very winnable game against Marlborough Boys' in the final round though it is in Blenheim while Roncalli have the toughest of all fixtures to finish with, a trip north to Christchurch to play CBHS.
In section two, Waimea College leads, thanks to their 27-0 win over Ashburton College and the fact the next two best teams, Shirley Boys' High and St Thomas' of Canterbury had a 31-all draw.
Ashburton College remain in fourth despite their loss.
Rangiora remained in fifth after their 24-5 win over Nayland College while Lincoln High beat Burnside 34-13.
