More than 200 people gathered at Christchurch Airport to welcome Sophie Pascoe home tonight.
Children, friends and the Queen Elizabeth II swim team made banners and dressed up in the New Zealand flag for the paralympian's homecoming.
The talented swimmer won three gold and three silver medals at the London Paralympics.
Pascoe received a huge round of applause from family, friends and fans when she walked through the arrival gate.
She was clearly overwhelmed and ordered a group hug from her young fans.
Pascoe wore her six medals proudly as she signed autographs and posed for photos.
