All Whites stars Ryan Nelsen and Winston Reid are set to clash in an English premier league match for the first time tomorrow.

Nelsen should be at the heart of the Queens Park Rangers defence, while Reid will be in West Ham United's rearguard for the cross-town London derby at QPR's Loftus Road ground.

New Zealand fans can see the Nelsen-Reid duel live on Sky Sport at 8am.

It is Nelsen's eighth season in the premier league and the 34-year-old Cantabrian is at his third club.

Reid signed for West Ham from Danish club FC Midtjylland after playing alongside Nelsen at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.

He made seven appearances for West Ham in his rookie premier league season in 2010-11 where he encountered Nelsen once - indirectly. Nelsen scored for Blackburn Rovers in a 1-1 draw with the Hammers at Blackburn but Reid watched from the substitute's bench.

Reid will not be the only familiar face to Nelsen in the West Ham camp. He developed a good rapport with Hammers manager Sam Allardyce at Blackburn.

Allardyce took over at Rovers from Mark Hughes, who signed Nelsen from the United States in 2005 and brought him to bottom-of-the-table QPR this season.
