Canterbury NPC head coach Scott Robertson will guide the Crusaders Knights development team this season.

The Knights are to play the Blues and Hurricanes development teams before meeting Samoa and Tonga in the Pacific Cup tournament over the next six weeks. Scott Hansen has been named as Robertson's assistant.

The squad is aimed to giving non-playing Crusaders, New Zealand under-20, Canterbury academy and club players from the franchise exposure.

The opening match, against the Highlanders side, is at Christchurch Park on February 23.

The Knights will play Samoa on March 23 at Christchurch Park followed by a game against Tonga on March 28 at Linwood.
