Northern Districts batsman Kane Williamson was again the star for the Blacks Caps as they hammered Indian side Maharashtra in a warm-up one day cricket match yesterday.

The match was the third of a three-match series being used by New Zealand as a build-up to a Tri-Series against Sri Lanka and India in Sri Lanka.

Williamson was unbeaten on 117 from 129 balls as the Black Caps put on 301 in their 50 overs.

He also apeared on the  bowling sheet, cleaning up Kiran Adhav for 19 as Maharashtra were all out for 189 from 43 overs.

BJ Watling was also useful for New Zealand with 60 runs off 80 balls while Kyle Mills was the chief destroyer at the bowling crease taking four wickets along with spinner Jeetan Patel who took two.

Williamson has found some strong form ahead of the Tri-Series, hitting 86 runs and taking three wickets in the second warm-up match against Maharashtra.
