Todd Blackadder has recruited several Christchurch metro club players to help bolster his team ahead of tomorrow night's ''friendly'' match against the Hurricanes in Levin.

Because eight of his players are on duty with the All Blacks, and lock Dominic Bird and hooker Codie Taylor recent ruptured their pectoral muscles, Blackadder has recruited hooker Matt Holloway and lock Matt Symons from HSOB and hooker Marcel Cumming-Toone from New Brighton.

Blackadder has also topped-up his squad with a number of his wider training group players.

This non-competition match will provide both teams an opportunity to keep match-fit before heading back into the Super Rugby season next week.

The Crusaders are currently sitting sixth on the table and have three round robin matches left to play. All three games are against our New Zealand conference counterparts, kicking off with the match against the Highlanders in Dunedin on 29th June.

Crusaders: Tom Marshall, Adam Whitelock, Robbie Fruean, Ryan Crotty, Zac Guildford, Tom Taylor, Willi Heinz, Luke Whitelock, Shane Christie, George Whitelock (c), Tom Donnelly, Jimmy Tupou, Nepo Laulala, Ben Funnell, Joe Moody. Reserves: Matt Holloway, Marcel Cumming-Toone, Adrian Barone, Jordan Taufua, Andy Ellis, Tyler Bleyendaal, Telusa Veianu, Kieron Fonotia, Joel Everson, Matt Symons.
