Just as Warriors centre Dominique Peyroux gets used to life in Auckland after transferring from Gold Coast, he is back playing against the Titans in his first game for his new club.

Peyroux played 12 games for the Titans last year but at the end of the season he was told that his contract wouldn't be renewed and to look for opportunities elsewhere.

Warriors coach Matt Elliott jumped at the chance to pick him up and Peyroux is the new boss's first signing for the team.

For Peyroux, who was born in Auckland before moving to Sydney to take up a contract with the Roosters at the age of 15, it's a dream come true to run out for the Warriors.

"Playing for the Warriors is always something I've wanted to do," said Peyroux, who played for them in their pre-season game against the Titans in Burleigh Heads last night.

Peyroux says he's enjoying his time with the Warriors despite the complications involved in moving to a new country.

"It has been tough but all of the boys have been welcoming so that has helped me adjust with the relocation and getting my stuff and missus over here," he said.

"It has been enjoyable and it's been different as well.

"It is good having Matty here, he is very experienced and obviously knows what he's doing. He is a tough but fair coach and I think he's looking forward to the start of the season as much as I am."
