Management shuffle at Fonterra

Fonterra's key senior managers have retained their jobs in a rejig by recently appointed chief executive Theo Spierings, but there are some new faces at the top table.

Chief financial officer is still Jonathan Mason and Gary Romano retains responsibility for all manufacturing in New Zealand, while Kelvin Wickham remains in charge of Fonterra's vital China and Indian markets, Mark Wilson continues to oversee ASEAN, Middle East and north African markets and John Doumani holds on to the New Zealand and Australian markets managing director's job.

New to Spierings top team are Ian Palliser, now managing director group optimisation and supply chain; Maury Leyland, group general manager strategy; Paul Campbell, group general manager  mergers and acquisitions and Todd Muller, managing director cooperative affairs.

Alex Turnbull has been appointed managing director Latin America, and former RD1 chief executive Sarah Kennedy becomes managing director of Fonterra Nutrition.

A new position, managing director of people, culture and services has yet to be filled.

The new organisation structure takes effect from August 1.

Spierings said the changes reflected the reshaping of the company to deliver on its refreshed group strategy announced in March.
