Two women have been released from the hospital after suffering serious injuries in a September 29 crash near Pleasant Point.
The crash occurred when their car failed to give way at the intersection of Mill and Arowhenua roads and struck another vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Levels man, Pleasant Point constable Tim Hartnell said.
Emergency services personnel had to cut the driver and her 70-year-old passenger from their car. Both were airlifted to Christchurch Hospital.
The 65-year-old driver will probably be charged in connection with the crash, Mr Hartnell said.
