Life of Pi director Ang Lee is coming to Auckland for a preview screening of his movie next week. We have a double pass for one lucky winner to attend the sold out evening.

Critically acclaimed director Lee  (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) has adapted the novel by Yann Martel about a young man on a fateful voyage.

After a spectacular disaster in the middle of the ocean, he is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery.  He becomes marooned on a lifeboat he must share with the ship's only other survivor, a fearsome Bengal tiger with whom he makes an amazing and unexpected connection.

The 3D movie is already seen as one of the hottest contenders for an Academy Award.

Up for grabs is a double pass for the sold out show at Silvia Park in Auckland next Thursday, December 20 at 6.30pm. After the movie Lee will answer the audience's question.  The winner will also receive a movie poster signed by Ang Lee.

Life of Pi will be in cinemas January 1, 2013
