The filth, the fury and the speed.

The Theatre Royal got a glimpse of an unedited version of TV3 panel show 7 Days last night.

Raw and unabated – host Jeremy Corbett led proceedings at lightening pace – the nasties inside a bottle of pure pleasure. Beer, wine or vodka – take your pick.

Nothing was untouched and Timaru took a fair share of hits. Washdyke took a hammering.

Like the TV show, they kept it relevant to this week’s news topics, including Timaru’s phone book. The Hobbit got a roasting along with John Key and Paula Bennett.

Instead of the usual My Kid Could Draw That, the audience was asked to sketch selected news events and hand them in before the show.

Not an easy task having to illustrate a hospital removing an eel from a man’s bum.
Plenty of banter though.

And you ask what happens when nine comedians hit the road for a nationwide tour. Plenty of farting in the van. The joys of what you can't edit out in front of a live crowd.
