Jeans Only Day: As part of Hospice Awareness Week from May 12 to 16 workers are being encouraged to pay $5 or more for the privilege of wearing jeans to work and all funds collected go to South Canterbury Hospice.

You Choose: 2014 Timaru Careers Expo is running over two days, Sunday and Monday, with exhibitors present from education and training institutes, employers and lifestyle promotions from across New Zealand. Universities, polytechnics, defence forces and tertiary providers are among the many exhibitors. The exhibitions are manned by experts in their field who are available to answer any questions and give advice, so there is something for everyone.
Run around: Knottingley Park Relay is on at Waihao Back Rd, Waimate. 12.30pm start. Get your teams together and join us for an afternoon of fun for everyone. Fun teams and competitive teams. $5 entry per person includes afternoon tea at Main School Hall after the event and a chance to win a spot prize. Joseph Nolan, Organist and Master of the Choristers St Georges Cathedral Perth and formerly of Her Majesty's Chapels Royal London, returns to present a programme including Bach, Widor and Rawsthorne.
