Christmas panto packs in the laughs
The lines are learnt, the costumes are waiting back stage, and the magic beans are about to germinate.
The cast and crew of Jack and the Beanstalk are putting the finishing touches on Boheme Entertainment's new Christmas production, set to open on Thursday.
Producer Kimble Henderson said the aim of the production was to put smiles on faces.
"We all need some laughs at this time of year, and this is a lot of fun."
It's the fifth year the company have produced a Christmas-time pantomime. All have been in true British panto-style.
"The English know how to do a pantomime. There's a lot of humour, singing and dancing, and of course audience participation.
Director Alice Sollis said the cast of 26 is a "a good mix of experienced actors and younger performers."
"It's all really good humour and really good fun," Mrs Sollis said.
Jack and the Beanstalk is on at the Playhouse tonight and tomorrow at 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 11am and 3pm.
