Timaru has experienced its 13th and 14th days of high air pollution this year.

The health guideline was exceeded on Friday with a 24-hour average concentration of 77 micrograms of suspended particulate (PM10) per cubic metre of air, measured at the air monitoring site in Anzac Square, while 24 was measured at the monitoring site in Washdyke.

On Saturday the 24-hour average concentration was 58 in Anzac Square, while 31 was measured at the monitoring site in Washdyke.
