A man facing 10 charges of having objectionable material for publication has been granted continued interim name suppression in the Timaru District Court.
The man became acquainted with his young victim, initially giving her advice about what was going on in her life. That soon "spiralled" out of control, the court heard yesterday.
Judge Joanna Maze said the man's actions had been distressing for the victim and the man's young family. She remanded him on bail till July 23.
