Timaru moves to Gigatown No 2 spot
South Pacific Sera has won the large business video competition for gigatowntim, helping to nudge Timaru into second place overall.
Gigatowntim is sitting at second after netting 250,000 points for South Pacific Sera's video win for large business on top of 600,000 points just for participating.
It knocked Nelson down to third place this morning, while Wanaka is still in first place.
Gigatown is part of a year-long competition run by communications company Chorus. Towns across New Zealand are competing to have the fastest broadband in the Southern Hemisphere rolled out first and a development fund.
