A Taiwanese man, 33, overdue from a walk in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park has been found safe and well.
Search and rescue personnel flew in to search for the man after he failed to respond to radio calls this morning.
Twizel Senior Constable Les Andrew said the man had decided to stay an extra night at a hut but had not been confident talking on the radio when he was called because of the language barrier.
"We have taken him through what he should have done and he was very apologetic," Andrew said.
