Hayden gets to fly the home flag
11-year-old wins tickets to see the CrusadersJACOB PAGE
Celtic under-11 rugby player Hayden Kerr will have one of the best views possible of tonight's Super Rugby semifinal between the Crusaders and Sharks at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
He will fly the flag for South Canterbury when the home team runs out onto the field.
The Crusaders have selected a registered junior player from each of the provincial unions that make up the Crusaders region - Canterbury, Mid Canterbury, South Canterbury, Tasman, Buller and West Coast - through a Facebook competition run in the leadup to the semi-final.
Hayden won tickets to the game for himself and a parent, a behind-the-scenes tour of AMI Stadium and the chance to watch the teams warm up from the sideline.
The 11-year-old plays second five-eighth and his favourite player is Crusaders' midfield back Ryan Crotty.
Hayden was nominated by his mum for the role.
She said it would be a big thrill to see the Crusaders run out while he was on the field.
