The high ceilings of Timaru's Trinity Church were vibrating with the sounds of music in the Winter Harmony Concert on Saturday.

Organised by Timaru's Height of Harmony Barbershop Chorus, which also performed, a good crowd enjoyed the entertainment.

As well as local acts the Christchurch-based Pastime Barbershop Quartet with the Canterbury Plainsmen group took the spotlight.

Height of Harmony Barbershop Chorus president of chorus Russell Hendry said he received good feedback from the audience after the concert.

"It was good practice for us for the national barbershop competition in Wellington which is in three weeks' time."
