The Timaru District Council is seeking community feedback on its Long Term Plan (LTP) in the form of a survey.
As part of the LTP development process, the council is seeking some early input into priorities for the plan.
"Following a number of discussions with stakeholders and businesses through the district and the results from the council's two yearly community survey, some areas have been identified where further community feedback would be useful," council's corporate planning manager Mark Low said.
The LTP outlines the future delivery of council services. It covers the range of council services provided to the ratepayers and residents of the Timaru district.
Topics in the survey include funding for events and community organisations, population growth, earthquake prone buildings, air quality and communications.
The survey also seeks feedback on whether ratepayers are willing to pay more rates for a higher level of service for areas including better roading maintenance or public toilets.
The survey can be completed online through council's website - www.timaru.govt.nz.
Copies are also available through council service centres and public facilities.
The survey closes on September 5, with the results to be reported back to council and used to help develop the 2015 LTP.
