A former Timaru man has been sentenced to 80 hours' community work and ordered to pay reparation after damaging a former partner's property.

Christopher Smith, of Christchurch, appeared in the Timaru District Court before Judge Brian Callaghan yesterday on charges of breaching of community work, intentional damage, and trespass.

He received community work and was ordered to pay $230.80 reparation for breaking a glass panel and kicking over a mailbox at his former partner's address.

Other court matters:

Nathaniel Gosling, 20, unemployed, of Timaru; breach of community work, breach of release conditions: sentenced to three months' imprisonment; driving while forbidden: convicted and discharged.

Marcus Mathew Bryden, 24, of Timaru; breach of community work: sentenced to 40 hours' community work.

Michael Charles Kingsford, 37, of Makikihi; breach of community work: sentenced to 117 hours' community work concurrent with current sentence.

Hayden Kirk, 20, of Timaru; breach of community work: remanded to April 28 for reports and sentence.

Christopher Mahuri Manawatu, 31, of no fixed abode; breach of release conditions: convicted and discharged.

Kellie Marie Williams, 35, unemployed, of Timaru; breach of community work, possession of cannabis utensils, possession of cannabis, unlawfully in a building: remanded to April 28 for reports and sentence.

William McCullough-Keen, 31, of Timaru; breach of parole (three charges): sentenced to 12 months' supervision.

Mohamed Dahir Dibad, 19, freezing worker, Timaru; breach of community work: remanded to April 28 for reports and sentence.
