A commercial fishing boat has been holed as it entered the Timaru Harbour.
The 11.5 metre Vivienne struck the rock wall at the seaward end of Marine Parade as it was heading in to the Sanfords wharf around noon.
Owner Kevin Marshall, who was the only person on the boat, was able to steer her across the harbour and run the boat up on to the beach near the log marshalling area.
