Timaru's MRI scanner appeal is $10,000 better off thanks to the Waimate Health Development Trust.
MRI project manager Stacey Scott said the Waimate district had been "amazing" contributors to the appeal.
"The amount of money raised from a small district has been fantastic."
Trust chairwoman Mavis Andrew said the funds had come from the sale of the former Waimate nurses home.
She said the scanner would have a big input into the health of the Waimate district.
"We'd like to keep the money in the health sphere."
