Vintage route to daffodil delivery
The South Canterbury Vintage Car Club plans to make daffodil delivery an annual commitment.
Twenty-eight helpers in 14 vintage cars yesterday prepared to deliver about 800 flowers to shops around Timaru for the fundraising event.
Organiser Kevin Heywood said the club started the deliveries last year to help the Cancer Society save money.
"They used to get couriers to deliver them [the daffodils] which cost a bit, so it's a good thing for the car club to do," he said.
Daffodil Day is on Friday.
