It could be at least three weeks before police determine whether charges will be laid over a crash that killed pregnant Timaru woman Lesley Suddens on Saturday.
Pleasant Point constable Tim Hartnell said inquiries were continuing and there were several witnesses to be interviewed.
Police were also waiting for the findings of the Serious Crash Unit's investigation.
Mrs Suddens, 24, died at the scene of the crash, at the intersection of Divans Rd and State Highway 1.
Her husband Bradley, 26, remained in Timaru Hospital last night in a serious but stable condition. Her two sons, aged 4 and 6, suffered minor injuries, and were discharged from hospital yesterday.
