A car crashed into a Church St fence near the Alpine Energy Stadium about 10pm.
Police at the scene did not comment on the cause of the crash beyond saying it was a minor injury crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
Two ambulances also attended the crash.
A witness told the Herald two youths confronted a girl as she was getting into the car, and banged on the car's windows as the driver drove away, before the driver "spun out" and hit the fence.
