Timaru great-grandmother Patricia Gordon had a family reunion like no other this week.
The octogenarian caught up with her daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter and great-great-granddaughter, along with other family members, at her Leckie St home where she has lived for 50 years.
The matriarch has many descendants, including 14 children, 50 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
"We're very good breeders," she said. While some of the family have stayed in Timaru, others have spread across the country.
And what's the best thing about a large family, according to Mrs Gordon? "They look after me."
