Doug Brown, 73, who has been on Timaru Hospital's cardiogram waiting list since last Christmas, finally has a date set for an ECG.
In a letter to Mr Brown, the South Canterbury District Health Board has confirmed his cardiogram has been set for December 18 - almost one year to the day since he signed up for the test.
Mr Brown told the Herald two weeks ago he was becoming frustrated with the wait, and was concerned some people who did need the test urgently were possibly also being forced to wait.
