X Factor NZ to seek talent in Timaru
Talented South Cantabrians have another chance to shine on the national stage.
X Factor New Zealand will be in Timaru on January 9 for auditions to find the "next big recording star", looking for contestants for the first local version of the global television talent show.
Singers need to be aged 14 or over as of January.
"It's the opportunity of a lifetime, and I encourage you to start preparing now," co-executive producer Andrew Szusterman said.
Contestants who are successful at the pre-auditions will then perform in front of the four judges and a live audience.
Multi-platinum recording artist Stan Walker, the first judge for the X Factor New Zealand to be announced, said he was looking forward to seeing what Kiwis had to offer.
Those wishing to audition should visit the TV3 website to download and print the application form.
