Final preparations are underway for the annual Geraldine Arts and Plants Festival, which starts on Thursday.
The three-day event will include a Boulevard Market on Friday and a Market Day on Saturday.
Events will be taking place throughout Geraldine, including the scarecrow trail fundraiser to benefit the town's kindergarten.
Organiser Marcelle de Bonth said 29 scarecrows are on display along Geraldine's roadsides and will remain there through the end of the festival, on November 18.
People who want to take part in the trail can purchase a map for $5 from the Geraldine i-Site and Geraldine Resource Centre. The map guides them through the town to where the scarecrows are located.
About 20 local businesses and residents took part in this year's scarecrow trail fundraiser, using children's story book characters for inspiration.
