Do you love South Canterbury?

You still have one month to Tell a Friend about it for a shot at winning thousands of dollars in prizes. [Click through the gallery above for the prize list.]

The Tell a Friend contest launched on October 31. The concept is simple: pick the thing, or things, you like most about life in South Canterbury, and come up with a creative way to tell as many people as possible.

Up for grabs: a prize package valued at $10,000.

Five winning entries will also be featured in a professionally-produced promotional video that will be used to market South Canterbury in future campaigns.

Entries can come from anyone - individuals, groups of friends, families, school classes, church groups, sports teams and businesses. They can take nearly any imaginable form - the contest encourages creativity.

Each entry will be judged on several criteria: the number of people it reached, especially outside of the region; how well the entry fits the theme "South Canterbury - a great place to live and/or do business"; the creativity of the approach; and how engaging the entry is to readers or viewers.

Entries must be submitted to ADBT by December 16. For more information go to
