SERIOUS CRASH: Police are waiting for a report before considering charges after a fatal crash at Washdyke which also left a man in hospital.

Two men injured in recent crashes in South Canterbury remain under medical care in Timaru Hospital.

Bradley Suddens, 26, of Timaru, was seriously injured in the Labour Weekend crash that killed his pregnant wife, 24-year-old Lesley Suddens.

Pleasant Point constable Tim Hartnell said previously that police were awaiting the findings of the Serious Crash Unit's investigation to determine whether charges will be laid.

Simon Proudfoot, 23, of Waimate, was injured in the motorbike crash that killed 30-year-old Daniel Charles Down on November 4. The police investigation into that incident is also ongoing.
