Children visit Santa in his grotto
Santa's list is starting to grow as children flock to his grotto in Geraldine.
Staff at the Geraldine Community Resource Centre have made way for Santa at their Peel St premises where he has been taking note of children's Christmas wish lists.
The grotto has returned because of popular demand, centre administrator Donna Auld said.
"It's very much the same as last year.
"It's there for the families to come and get a photo with Santa."
Children and their families can visit Santa tomorrow from 10am to noon and 3pm to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to noon and Monday from 1pm to 3.30pm. Photos are $5 per child or $10 for a family.
Money raised from the event will be divided between the resource centre and Bellyful Geraldine, a group which helps mums cope with the demands of looking after a new baby.
"All the money raised will stay in Geraldine," Mrs Auld said.
A Christmas tree on display in the centre's window has also been attracting attention from passers-by at night. The tree's lights are turned from 6.30pm until midnight every night until Christmas.
