For more than 45 years audiences have come and celebrated Christmas at the Timaru South Rotary Club's annual Carols by Candlelight.
Last night continued the tradition with a packed house at Timaru's Theatre Royal.
The event is a money spinner for local charities - each year the club chooses a charity that will benefit from the gold coin donation, with between $1000 and $2000 raised on the night.
The funds raised is a welcome boost to funds. This year's charity was Timaru's Salvation Army.
