A driver who left his overturned vehicle on the side of State Highway 8 before emergency personnel arrived went the police station to talk to officers.
A passing truck driver called emergency services about a maroon four-wheel-drive vehicle had overturned and gone off the side of State Highway 8, about four kilometres north of Cave.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel went to the scene of a crash near Cave at 2.30pm yesterday but the driver of the vehicle was nowhere to be seen.
However, police said the driver went to the police station and spoke to officers there. The crash was apparently caused by driver fatigue, police said.
