Devotees gear up for special show
A short-lived summer break is almost over for Geraldine Arts and Plants organisers as they gear up for the event's 25th anniversary.
Organisers will start planning this year's event during the festival's annual meeting in February.
Geraldine Arts and Plants is celebrated over a few days, each November, with market days, garden tours and various activities.
Committee member Cushla Flannery, who has worked behind the scenes since 1997, is looking forward to another year of involvement.
"I've been on the festival (committee) for 16 years. In 1997 I joined up to the committee and I've been on it ever since."
The event will return to Geraldine on November 14 to 17.
People who want to be a part of the event are encouraged to attend the meeting at the Geraldine Community Resource Centre, on February 12, at 8pm.
