Two men were stabbed in a street fight in Timaru this morning.
Police said the Timaru men, aged 21 and 20, were assaulted near the taxi stand at the lower end of Church St about 1.20am.
"Shortly after, the 21-year-old victim made his way to Sophia St and then collapsed on the road opposite The Sail and Anchor Bar and Cafe.
"He then suffered a further assault whilst being tended to by a member of the public," Timaru detective Dylan Murray said in a release.
The man was treated by ambulance staff and taken to Timaru Hospital with a "moderate, non-life threatening injury".
The second victim left the scene but admitted himself to hospital about three hours later.
A 19-year-old man and a 25-year-old man have been charged with assault, while an 18-year-old woman has been charged with possession of a knife and possession of cannabis.
Timaru police are seeking further witnesses to both the Church St and Sophia St assaults. Any witnesses with information can contact the police on 687 9808 or by calling Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
