The Westpac rescue helicopter made five trips to Mid and South Canterbury in the last week.
Two women were flown to Christchurch Hospital after a vehicle crash at Burkes Pass on Monday last week. The crew were back in Timaru later that day to transfer a 66-year-old man from Timaru Hospital to Christchurch Hospital.
A 64-year-old woman was flown from Mt Somers to Christchurch Hospital on Friday with a knee injury.
The crew were called to the Mackenzie Country twice on Saturday. A 50-year-old man had injured his knee tramping in the Landsborough area. Later that day a 29-year-old man, with severe stomach pain, was flown from Tekapo to Christchurch Hospital.
