Harpist and speaker, Eduard Klassen, performs at St Johns Highfield, 125 Wai-iti Rd, Timaru. Starts 7pm, free entry but donations appreciated.

The Canterbury Senior Track and Field Championships are being held at the all weather track on Morgan's Rd.

Entries in the New Zealand Hoffman Challenge, one of New Zealand's main quilt competitions will be on display at the Women's Centre, Butler St, Timaru. Members of the Timaru Patchwork and Quilters Group will be on hand sewing quilts for the Bamboo Orphanage in Thailand. Free entry, 10am till 4pm.

Timaru Harness Racing Club February race meeting, Phar Lap Raceway, noon till 6pm, free entry.

Lister Home Gala, 24 Innes St, Waimate. Something for everyone, starts 1pm.

The Waimate Annual Triathlon/Duathlon starts at 2pm, Boland Park, $2 per person or families $5.

Dr Chris Hainsworth performs an EQ Memorial Organ Concert at Sacred Heart Basilica, Timaru, 2.30pm. Free entry, donations to Neil Stocker Memorial Fund welcome.
