The jury has been empanelled for the trial of the man accused of murdering Timaru father Shane Braddick, 28, in May last year.
Timaru man Johnny Grant Holman, 26, has pleaded not guilty to Mr Braddick's murder in the High Court at Timaru this morning.
A jury of nine women and three men has been selected.
Mr Braddick was found dead on York St at around 3.15am on May 11, 2012. St John was called to the street after it was advised of a person lying on the road.
Holman first appeared on Saturday, May 12, 2012, in front of a Justice of the Peace and did not enter a plea. He was in court again two days later, where again he did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody.
